Hiraeth Cold Process Soap

Hiraeth is a Welsh word that doesn’t translate concisely into English, but the gist is a deep nostalgic homesickness not just for home and family, but for a state of comfort and identity that feels lost to us. (It means a great deal to the Welsh, who like so many other cultures, were Anglicized by force, the language quite literally beaten out of schoolchildren by the English.) It’s a word that feels relevant now, even though our old routines, joys, and loved ones have been taken by illness rather than oppressive neighbors. 

Scent: wildflower honey, banana, almond, fresh baked bread

About 5oz per bar.

Superfatted to 5%, tested on friends, not animals. Each bar comes in its own little muslin bag, wrapped in a recycled paper band, printed with title and ingredients.
