great honk part II
Well, last weekend saw 1,200 sales, 300+ convos, 50,000 pots of coffee, and maybe 8 hours of sleep total. Maybe. Perhaps. I’ve lost the ability to judge time and space. We’ve taken 11 postal crates of packages to the post office, and we’ve only got 2 more to sort through and complete before shipment, some missing the body powder that didn’t get mixed until yesterday, some missing the cream we’ve run out of until next week, and some international orders missing the chicken scrawl I’ll put onto their customs forms. Once they’re all gone, I’ll make an attempt to answer all of the convos, and hope I didn’t miss too many of the “crap I moved and forgot to change my PayPal address” variety. If you’re reading this and wish you were instead reading my response to a convo you sent me on Saturday, I promise with all of my heart, I’m not being an asshole on purpose! I am being an asshole though, you’re right. Permission to kick the wall.

So many sales! How wonderful for you! We do the best we can. I’m sure your customers respect your efforts and are understanding of all that comes their way, even if they have to wait for this or that. Including answers to their convos!

Congratulations. Just saw another Long Winter Farm product listed in the Etsy email today! I am loving my chocolate lavender lip balm and my chocolate fig cream. Are we seeing a theme here? All your successes are well deserved as your personality and products are tops!

We got our package (crazy lady with horses and kids that cooks… ring any bells? maybe not… ) and are loving everything!!
My younger son has terribly dry skin and this winter it’s been horrible and the cream has (so far) been a dream!! He is totally diggin the lemongrass-lavender (Mommy… can I have a lotion that does NOT smell like a girl??) scent as it’s not particularly girly.
My older son is lovin’ the lip balm (lavender is his favorite) and has informed me that I need to order more if I plan to use any of it for myself… (he, by the way, was born in a yurt in Kyrgyzstan).
But anyway! Congrats on so many sales! Look forward to ordering again in the future (maybe after the rush…)

Wow-I received my order (from you in Maine to me in Texas) in about 3 days! Fastest shipping ever!)
Anyway, I absolutely love everything, my 15 year old daughter did, indeed, steal the Raspberry Lime lip balm within about 15 minutes, and I’m keeping the Lavender and Cherry Almond in hiding so I will have a little for myself. The cream is amazing, and THANK YOU so much for customizing it with the Nag Champa, and the Nag Champa perfume oil is absolutely fabulous!
For people who don’t get to see your convos…I have to say that is lip balm is a miracle! My 8 year old daughter seems to always have chapped lips and of course, everything I buy at the store burns and then she won’t use it. We are having a record-breaking Winter here in San Antonio, TX, with this last week having temperatures in the 20’s and 30’s, along with sustained winds in the twenties with gusts in the 40’s, so you can imagine the havoc wreaked on our lips. The day I received my order, her lips were starting to chap. I immediately used some LWF lip balm, and by the next morning she was looking normal. She’s used it all week and has yet to have another ‘chap’! Plus, she loves it…even the Lavender, which I thought might be odd for an 8 year old.
Anyway…we love it all! I bow to you and the Nag Champa God!
