returns & revisions
Last week we drove to Indiana and back to attend Joe’s brother’s wedding. I have to say it was a little strange to be neck deep in Monsanto’s corporate trenches (aka corn fields) but so awesome to meet the clan. The Browns are the least boring family ever. I wish I had taken more pictures, but I was kinda too busy canoeing and jet skiing and being thoroughly embarrassed by dance floor atrocities. I did, however, manage to take juvenile pictures of unsuspecting road signs.
The 17-hour return trip made for plenty of opportunity to think, and a good 20% of that thought went into new packaging and display for my soap. I’m going to be keeping my entire stock at kindred gifts just as soon as we (by we I mean Liza, Kim, and ME!) move into a bigger space in town, and I want the line to be as aesthetically contiguous as possible. So, I had a fight with Paint Shop Pro yesterday and made me a logo. Then I slapped that logo on a new set of bands and tags. The muslin bags will still be around, but they’ll be much more reusable without the direct printing. And best of all, no more ironing on soap packaging day.

Wait, don’t tell me the yurt life has been completely abandoned!?!?!
Great new packaging!
Thanks you guys! Noway Tricia! That’s just the blog…that’s been abandoned temporarily… Because I suck at juggling…
very nice!!
Very cool new packaging!
I leave for England in three weeks and I was going to order some lotion, soap, and lipbalm to have for my trip but I checked on etsy to find out you’re moving. Sort of. Congrats on the brick and mortar and the spiffy new packaging. And preschool.
I can’t wait to see all the new stuff. T-shirts maybe? I’d be a billboard!
I was just thinking what I could do with a muslin bag… I could make a bath tea out of it. Any other things people use them for? (cause I always end up keeping the soap for myself instead of gifting them) ehem.
I’m so excited about the samples I ordered. I’ve got Christmas gifts to get and I’d love to send folks handmade soaps instead of plastic stuff. Books and soap. Best gifts ever. : )
