Our clothes are still in piles, our prints remain unframed and unhung, and I have a ton of work to do in the garden, but the nights are getting warmer and less silent. I’ve spent a lot of time at the yurt in the past few days, making it ready for life again. The yard is drying from mud to dirt, my bulbs are showing themselves one by one, and it’s close to seeding time. So once I’ve got the inside somewhat decent-looking, I’ll start on the garden. [...]

I think the yurt lives in a little bubble of the past. Everything happens late there. The tomatoes ripened late, the leaves turned late, and now the snow refuses to melt. Lucy’s not happy about this. Where it has melted, though, things are taking advantage.
